FlexiSolar panels incorperate mono-crystaline back-contact silicon cells that have been designed, tested and developed in the USA by SunPower corp. They boast the highest efficency of any solar cell available on the market today, of up to 22.5% and hold the world record for solar cell efficiency. These cells will not sufer light degredation like others on the market and will only sufer 0.25% loss in 25 years giving 75% more power than our compeditors in that time. In fact these cells have a life expectancy of over 40 years so that figure could be much higher. Thin film flexible solar panels do not have any air gaps like traditional glass panels and as such develop higher temeratures. Sunpower cells have a lower temperature coefficients of power, open circuit voltage and closed circuit current than other crystalline silicon PV cell technologies used in fexible solar panels. Flexi Solar panels are designed for harsh permanent outdoor marine use and are suitable in any aplication. Weighing only 1.4kg
they are the lightest panel on the market yet tests have shown they have far superior strength. Encapsulated in EVA (Ethylene
Vinyl Acetate) for its proven longevity over the last 20 years in solar use, with a translucent PET top surface and a durable
backing sheet of TPT. These materials are perfect for marine applications and will not be affected by continous exposure to the
harsh elements that will be encountered.
Being flexible and one of the lightest panels available on the market enables our panels to be installed on any surface in
minutes with out the need for custom frames and supports. All panels come with stainless steel eyelets for screw type
mounting or alternativley can be afixed with adhesive which is perfect for shaped roofs or intricate curved surfaces. They can
also be supplied with press studds which will alow you to clip them onto canvas awnings or marine boat covers.
